Before you start

This registration will only cover the discharge aspect of your open-loop system.

A registration is needed for each point of discharge, so if your open-loop system includes multiple points of discharge, then you will need to fill this form in for each one.

To register your open-loop system as exempt from the need for an environmental permit, you will need the following:

• name, address and contact details of the operator of the open-loop system
• the system's water temperature ratio
• address and postcode, or grid reference, where the open-loop system is located (this may be different from the operators address)

You will also need your company registration number, if you have one.
