Before you start

You should use this form to apply to or consult Natural England for the following types of advice:

  • Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) advice
  • Section 28i Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) advice (also known as statutory consultation), including advice on a felling licence or forestry operations
  • Ask a general protected sites related question

This form should not be used for For Information Only (FIO) submissions.

Forestry Commission and Environment Agency staff intending to submit For Information Only (FIO) submissions, please email the relevant documents to protectedsites@naturalengland.org.uk.
