Before you start

To apply to reduce the amount of water you abstract under your licence, you will need:

  • the licence number of the licence you want to reduce the abstraction limit on
  • the current and proposed maximum abstraction volumes (yearly, daily and hourly, as required)
  • contact details of the licence holder

If the abstraction change is a result of temporary trading water rights, then you must submit a WR2 form (opens in new tab).

Who can submit this form

The following people are authorised to submit this form:

  • registered company: a company director or company secretary
  • limited liability partnership: a partner, company director or company secretary
  • individual: the individual
  • public body: someone authorised to sign on behalf of the organisation
  • group of individuals: all individuals
  • partnership: one or more partners
  • trust: all trustees, or the chair, treasurer or secretary

If you are submitting this form on behalf of the licence holder, you will need to upload a letter of authorisation as part of the form.
